Budget motel, decent and clean. No frills.
Good value, clean, fairly comfortable, good location
A little noisy because of traffic
Good location and value. Easy on/off the 101 and plenty of food options nearby. I enjoyed the free wifi, free long-distance phone, hbo and fridge/microwave in room. Not a fancy hotel but it's clean, functional and safe. The management were very professional, friendly and prompt with requests.
The Caltrain runs one block away and is loud. There is a street crossing near hotel and the Caltrain sounds it's horn every time it passes. Mostly I heard this during the rush hour commute in the morning.
Very well priced and walking distance to many amenities.
Bathroom dirty. Black mold on the grout and black spots of mold all along the shower curtain along the edge of bathtub.
Nice staff made me feel welcome even though I arrived very late at night. Went out of their way to find parking accommodations.
Construction or carpet cleaning crew was noisy during the late afternoon.
wifi is pretty fast
many of the lights were out of order, including in the bathroom.
to be northfront, some hiches with TV...
Good wifi signal, owner was nice to work with. Nice desk, chair, fridge and microwave in the room, good for working, easy parking. This is an inexpensive motel, you get what you pay for. It is fine for a budget traveler, just don't expect perks, because you are not paying for them. If you understand that your stay will be fine. There are many places to eat nearby, the motel is on the main drag.
Some things to be aware of: trains go by and will wake up any light sleeper, so bring ear plugs. The front desk person may try and charge you more than you booked for, but will work out a different price upon notification. Just check your receipt.
very helpful, polite staff.
areas of grey caulking in bathtub appeered o possibly be mold or mildew
Staff were very prompt and pleasent. Very close and handy to evrything. Parking was available inside the complex off the main strip.
Can hear pretty much everything going on in the rooms above, below or beside you.
Everyone who worked at the hotel was friendly and helpful. When we realized we would be late arriving, probably after midnight, we called and the desk clerk was very kind, "I will be here for you when you arrive." he said. How nice was that? The microwave shorted out our first morning. When we mentioned it to housekeeping, they came to the room immediately and changed it out. Very courteous! Overall, we had a very nice visit. It was conveniently central to all the places we had planned to be. Stacks, a very nice coffee shop, is a half block away and serves wonderful breakfasts! Starbucks is on the corner, and Ben's Franks is across the street. Thre is a very nice florist and gift shop right next door. What more could you ask for?
We had arrived to the hotel very late, after midnight Thursday night. At 5:30 am on Friday morning, two diesel trucks that were parked right in front of our room started up...and just idled there for about a half hour....wow, that was noisy. At about 5:45 a.m., the city trash truck drove into the courtyard, and proceeded to empty the dumpster that was also conveniently located just across from our room....We were exhausted, but by then we could not sleep any more. I do not know what could have been done about this though. Both of these seem beyond the control of the hotel.
The bed was comfortable and the staff were exceptional
There was no coffee maker in the room and the trains could be heard despite the air and TV being on.
A basic clean hotel for an inexpensive price, easy freeway access, about 20 minutes from SFO. Wireless server easily supported the usage when I was there, no coffee in the room.
Great choice if you are on a budget. Room always clean. Cheap accommodation, free internet provided (even though it's not very fast).
If you stay on the ground floor you'll hear your upper neighbour's every step... floor is very squeaky. The area can be noisy at times, due to the road/railways nearby.
